Messenger will be released on my homepage here this Thursday 1 July at 5pm BST.
Sometimes it takes a while for it to feel like the right time for work to go out into the world, and this one has taken a year or so before it seemed properly ready. I often spend quite long stretches time just sitting and looking at my work before it goes out, and increasingly this gazing appears to be a fundamental part of my working process. I'm not entirely sure why this is, but I enjoy it, and I've spent a lot of time looking at Messenger over the last year, doing some tinkering here and there, and now seems like the time to release it.
Messenger will be available in three editions, including a very limited edition of extra large prints.
Due to the almost microscopic detail in this picture, I’ve decided all editions will be released in giclee print form on magnificent archival Hahnemuhle German etching paper.
Here are some close up views:
The editions will be:
40cm x 40cm in a limited edition of 75 at £108
76cm x 76cm in a limited edition of 50, at £250 for the first 24 hours, rising to £300 at 5pm on Friday
100cm x 100cm in a limited edition of only 10, at £350 for the first 24 hours, rising to £400 at 5pm on Friday.
