Thank you for thinking of us. We're the official representatives of Dan Hillier's work, and we'd be glad to help you sell a piece from your collection. Here's how it works, in plain terms.
Why it's worth it. We believe we're uniquely placed to get you the best possible price for your Dan Hillier piece. Because buyers trust a work bought through us, Dan's official representatives, they'll pay what it's genuinely worth, rather than a possible discounted price so common elsewhere. Realising that full value will, more often than not, more than cover the cost of selling through us.
1. Get in touch. Tell us what you have, ideally with a few photos. We'll talk it through with you and give you our honest view of the work and what it's likely to sell for.
2. Send us the work. If you'd like to go ahead, you send the piece to us. We'll guide you on safe packing, and the work stays yours throughout; we're selling it on your behalf, not buying it from you.
3. We check and certify it. We inspect the work in person, confirm exactly what it is, check its condition, and prepare any certification it needs. This is the part no one else can do, and it's what gives buyers real confidence.
4. We photograph and list it. We photograph the work properly and list it for sale here on Dan's website at a price we agree together.
5. We handle the sale. When it sells, we take care of professional archival packing and worldwide shipping, so the work reaches its new owner safely.
6. The buyer has 14 days. We give buyers 14 days to return the work if it isn't right for them. This builds trust and helps pieces sell. (The buyer covers return postage.)
7. You get paid. Once the 14-day return window has passed and the sale is complete, we pay you your share within 21 days. Our commission is 20%, so you receive 80% of the agreed sale price.
Packing is part of our service and comes at no cost to you; the buyer pays the postage.
If it doesn't sell, there's no hard feelings; we'll simply send it back to you (return postage at your cost) or talk about adjusting the price.
If that sounds good, get in touch and we'll get started. We're always happy to answer questions first.
